Noise profiles are available for a variety of cameras.
If you don't see your camera listed below,
you can create your own profiles using the profiling chart included with
Noise Ninja. Creating your own custom profiles can give you as good or
better results than the stock profiles. Stock profiles are provided as
a convenience especially for those who no longer have the equipment to
profile. See the User's Guide or our FAQ
for instructions. (It's easy, and it only takes a few minutes. Really!
You can contact us for support.)
Most profiles available here are created for a single
set of camera settings for sharpening and other parameters. To the degree
that these settings are known, individual profiles are annotated with
the settings used to create them. If you use significantly different settings,
or if you don't seem to be getting good results with one of the profile
sets below, then you might obtain better results by creating your own
profiles.
Aperture users:
These profiles where contributed by our users before Noise Ninja for Aperture.
While you can manually use these profiles with Noise Ninja for Aperture
they were not generated from Aperture converted images. We recommend that
you instead create your own camera profiles using Noise Ninja for Aperture.
Click on the Create Profile button in Noise Ninja for Aperture for a tutorial.
It's easy to create camera profiles and only takes a few minutes.
Bibble users: These profiles are not for the version
of Noise Ninja that comes with Bibble Pro. Bibble Pro comes pre-installed
with custom camera profiles specifically for the Bibble Pro RAW converter.
To install noise profiles for use with the automatic
profile loader in Noise Ninja 2, follow these instructions:
- From the list below, download the file for your camera
or scanner. (Do not place it in Noise Ninja's NoiseProfiles directory.)
- Unzip the file or files that you downloaded. This
should produce individual noise profiles, each with a ".nzp"
file extension.
- Start Noise Ninja and select "Install
profiles..." from the Profiles menu if you are using the plug-in and from the
File menu if you are using the standalone, and then select the directory
that contains the unzipped noise profiles. Press the "OK"
button. Noise Ninja will scan the directory and subdirectories looking
for profiles, and it will copy any profiles that it finds to the correct
location in the NoiseProfiles folder in the Noise Ninja installation
directory.
- If you are using the plug-in you need to setup
Noise Ninja to auto-load the profiles you have just installed. First,
go to the Noise Ninja menu and select Preferences. Set the Profile
policy to "Auto-load profile based on EXIF." And set the Fallback policy
to "Invoke automatic profiler" then click OK.
